Maeda Toushirou is one of the many Awataguchi siblings residing within the citadel in Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru.
Maeda is a tantou forged by Awataguchi Yoshimitsu in the year 1259. He and his brother Atsushi were once owned by the Maeda clan; he specifically was owned by Maeda Toshimasa.
Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru
Maeda appears to have been at the citadel for some time before Hanamaru begins.
Maeda and a few of his brothers were playing in the snow with Imanotsurugi, and accidentally hit newcomer Yamatonokami with a snowball. After Namazuo eggs Kashuu on with a snowball to the face, the group starts chasing each other around as Kashuu tries to exact revenge. He and the others end up creating a ruckus, crashing through the kitchen and running through several crops. After being chastised for this by Heshikiri Hasebe, Namazuo tries to pin it on Yagen, but Maeda defends him.
Maeda and his brother Gokotai are assigned to do training on the day that newcomers Tsurumaru Kuninaga and Doudanuki Masakuni arrive. When shown the training room, Doudanuki (who is paticularly combat-minded) excited tries to spar with the two small swords, and ends up scaring them off.
- Maeda and his brothers all share the surname of Toushirou, with the exception of Gokotai and Ichigo Hitofuri.
