Hachisuka Kotetsu is an uchigatana touken danshi residing in the citadel in Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru.

A true Kotetsu sword among many fakes. Also has impeccable beauty and style. Although he is fond of his little brother Urashima Kotetsu, he protests his older brother Nagasone as he is a fake[1].

Hachisuka was forged by Nagasone Okisato in the year 1665. He was owned by the Kotetsu clan.

Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru[]

Hachisuka has been at the citadel for some time before Yamatonokami's arrival.

Mutsuki (睦月)[]

Kisaragi (如月)[]

Hachisuka is assigned to cleaning duty with Midare Toushirou on the day that Tsurumaru Kuninaga and Doudanuki Masakuni arrive.

When Kashuu and Yamatonokami lead the newcomers through the area and introduce them, Hachisuka inquires if he is allowed to throw away some of the many cardboard boxes left around. When Kashuu advises against it because the saniwa believes they might be of use, Hachisuka dejectedly opts to move them to the warehouse to get them out of the way, asking Doudanuki to help.

Yayoi (弥生)[]

  • Hachisuka is one of 3 Kotetsus in Touken Ranbu; there is also the wakizashi Urashima Kotetsu and the uchigatana Nagasone Kotetsu, the latter of whom is actually a counterfeit copy of a Kotetsu sword. In the game, Hachisuka is fond of Urashima, but seems to dislike Nagasone on virtue of him being a "fake".
  • The reason he's portrayed wearing golden armors is because his koshirae color is golden-colored.
  • His design seems to remind some fans of a character from Saint Seiya series.
  • According to his [official tweet], he's actually drawn to Nagasone Kotetsu's competence and roughness.
    • Used to belong to Hachisuka clan who ruled Tokushima domain, thus the reason of his name.
    • His inscription is as follow:
      • 長曽弥興里入道虎徹 (Nagasone Okisato nyuudou Kotetsu).
      • 寛文五年乙巳霜月十一日 弐ツ胴截断 山野加右衛門永久 (Kanbun 5 (1665 CE) Kinotomi Shimotsuki (November) 11, futatsu dousetsudan, Yamanokaemon Nagahisa) ― written with gold inlay, with a signature at the end.
        • Futatsu dousetsudan refers to the fact that when Hachisuka was used in a cutting test, he was able to cut down two corpses piled together. Yamanokaemon Nagahisa is the place where the cutting test was held at.
